We first utilised HGM Builders for minor alterations to our property, we were so impressed by Hamish’s professionalism and workmanship that we engaged him major renovations to our house. We discussed our vision for our home and Hamish was able to help guide us through the process of attaining our dream. He was able to project manage the process for us, assisting, advising and directing us on the most cost effective, and the best way to ensure we moved closer to our dream home. At the time we were expecting our first child, Hamish worked to help us through the stress of construction around us by working to a timetable that would allow us a satisfactory living environment during the building. The renovations were a large undertaking including the extension of the front of the existing house and the addition of a lounge, bathroom, bedroom, walk in wardrobe and office (with additional entrance), internal access to the existing house and a carport. This was all done on a split level which required a great deal of excavation. We found that all the contractors that Hamish worked with to be equally respectful, professional and skilled in their trades. They were all incredibly punctual, honest and cost efficient. HGM Builders’, and their contractors, attention to detail, cleanliness and focus was first class. Hamish was able to assist through the council permit processes passing consistently through the inspections. When the necessity arose to make decisions on construction or design, Hamish was able to talk us through the process helping us understand the options and make choices that were in keeping with the style of the house as well as our vision. Throughout the entire experience HGM Builders kept us up to date on the progress, time schedule, and any changes or adjustments that needed to be made. We have continued to ask Hamish back whenever we need any construction or work done on the house and property. We attribute the successful completion of the house in large part to an honest and positive working relationship with HGM Builders and his chosen colleagues. Hamish was able to establish genuine interpersonal relationships to ensure continuous communication between all parties. Hamish always demonstrated respect for our home and our family, he developed great relationships with our neighbors and he was always pleasant to deal with. We would absolutely recommend HGM Builders to anyone considering building or making alterations to their home and with extreme pride act as references for HGM Builders
